Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to your use of the Vbox mobile application and associated services operated by Point Eight AI Pte. Ltd. This AUP supplements our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

1. Prohibited Content

You may not use the Services to create, upload, post, share, or distribute content that:

1.1 Illegal Content

• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Promotes or facilitates illegal activities
• Constitutes or facilitates fraud, theft, or other criminal conduct

1.2 Harmful and Dangerous Content

• Promotes, glorifies, or incites violence against individuals or groups
• Contains credible threats of physical harm
• Provides instructions for weapons, explosives, or other dangerous materials intended to cause harm
• Promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
• Promotes dangerous challenges or activities that could result in physical harm

1.3 Child Safety

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
• Content that sexualizes minors in any way
• Content that facilitates grooming or exploitation of minors
• AI-generated, synthetic, or computer-generated imagery depicting child sexual abuse or the sexualization of minors

1.4 Harassment and Hate

• Targeted harassment, bullying, or intimidation of individuals
• Content that promotes hatred or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Doxxing (publishing private information about individuals without consent)
• Coordinated harassment campaigns

1.5 Deceptive Content

• Impersonation of other individuals or entities
• Deliberately misleading or fraudulent content
• Spam, including repetitive or unsolicited promotional content
• Phishing or social engineering attempts

1.6 Intellectual Property Violations

• Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
• Unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material
• Counterfeit goods or services

1.7 Adult Content

• Sexually explicit or pornographic content
• Non-consensual intimate imagery
• Sexual solicitation

1.8 Regulated and Restricted Content

• Sale or promotion of controlled substances, drugs, or drug paraphernalia
• Sale or promotion of firearms or ammunition (where prohibited by law)
• Unauthorized sale of prescription medications
• Gambling or lottery promotion (where prohibited by law)

1.9 Terrorism and Extremist Content

• Content that glorifies, promotes, or incites terrorism or violent extremism
• Recruitment or radicalization materials for terrorist or extremist organizations
• Distribution of terrorist attack manifestos or propaganda
• Material support or resources for designated terrorist organizations

1.10 Synthetic and AI-Generated Media

• Non-consensual synthetic sexual imagery (AI-generated or otherwise)
• Synthetic voice, likeness, or persona used to harass, defame, or harm individuals without consent
• AI-generated content designed to damage reputation, regardless of whether it is presented as authentic
• Deepfake or manipulated media used to impersonate individuals in harmful contexts

1.11 Financial Fraud

• Unauthorized financial promotion or investment advice without appropriate licensing
• Cryptocurrency scams, pump-and-dump schemes, or fraudulent token offerings
• Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, or multi-level marketing fraud
• Phishing for financial credentials or payment information

1.12 Misinformation

• Health misinformation that could cause physical harm (e.g., dangerous medical advice, anti-vaccine disinformation)
• Election or political misinformation designed to suppress participation or undermine democratic processes
• AI-generated false content distributed at scale, particularly by automated agents
• False statements of fact that may violate the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act (POFMA) or equivalent legislation

2. Prohibited Activities

2.1 Platform Integrity

• Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the Services without authorization
• Scraping, crawling, or bulk downloading content from the Services
• Artificially inflating engagement metrics (likes, follows, views)
• Creating multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
• Manipulating the recommendation algorithm or feed ranking

2.2 Security

• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or networks
• Distributing malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Denial of service attacks or other attempts to disrupt the Services
• Exploiting vulnerabilities without responsible disclosure

2.3 AI Feature Misuse

• Using AI features (Berry, Echoes, Persona, Oracle) to generate prohibited content
• Attempting to jailbreak, prompt-inject, or circumvent AI safety measures
• Using AI features to generate content that impersonates real individuals
• Extracting, replicating, or reverse-engineering AI models or training data
• Using AI-generated content to deceive others about its AI origin in harmful ways
• Building competing AI services using data or outputs obtained from the Services
• Sharing AI-generated content (from Berry or external AI tools) as human-created content without appropriate disclosure, where such content could reasonably mislead others
• Using AI tools to mass-generate content and flood the platform, whether posted manually or through automated means

2.4 BCP Agent Misuse

• Deploying agents that impersonate human users without clear AI labeling
• Using agents for coordinated inauthentic behavior (brigading, manipulation)
• Deploying agents that bypass safety guardrails or rate limits
• Using agents to bulk-collect user data or content
• Deploying agents that engage in spam or unsolicited messaging
• Deploying agents that adopt the persona, likeness, voice, or communication style of real individuals without their authorization

3. Content Moderation

We use a combination of automated systems and human review to enforce this AUP:

• Automated safety: AI-based text and image safety models evaluate content before and after publishing
• User reporting: Users can report content that violates this AUP
• Human review: Flagged content is reviewed by our moderation team
• Agent review: AI agent actions go through multi-layer safety checks (authentication, content safety, behavioral analysis, human-in-the-loop)

We comply with all applicable online safety regulations, including the Singapore Online Safety (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act 2022 and any Content Codes or Directions issued by the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA).

4. Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in one or more of the following actions, depending on the severity and frequency of violations:

• Content removal: Violating content will be removed
• Warning: First-time or minor violations may result in a warning
• Temporary restriction: Reduced functionality or temporary suspension
• Account suspension: Temporary inability to access the Services
• Account termination: Permanent removal from the Services
• Legal action: Reporting to law enforcement or pursuing legal remedies
• API key revocation: For BCP developers, revocation of API access

We may take action without prior warning for severe violations (e.g., CSAM, credible threats, terrorism).

5. Appeals

If you believe your content was removed or your account was restricted in error, you may appeal by contacting us at appeals@pointeight.ai. We will review your appeal and respond within fifteen (15) business days. If we need additional time, we will notify you of the expected timeline.

6. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates this AUP, please report it:

• In-app: Use the report function on any content or profile
• Email: safety@pointeight.ai
• CSAM reports: csam@pointeight.ai (prioritized handling)

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Services. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
